Identifying Characteristics
- Sawtoothed Grain Beetle adults and full grown larvae measure 3 millimeters in length
- Their adults are red-brown in color and their larvae are a very light yellow
- Their body has 3 distinct segments and their antennae are elbowed
- Usually found in cabinets and pantries or anywhere food products are stored
Active Season
- Sawtoothed Grain Beetles are found indoor making them active year-round
- Their eggs are laid inside food where they feed as they grow into larva

- In preferred conditions, 7 generations can be produced in 1 year
- Adult Sawtoothed Grain Beetles have been found to live over 3 years
